The German College at the ÖZ

The body responsible for the German College at the ÖZ is the "Non-Profit-Making Organisation for the Promotion of University Applicants and Students from Abroad." The German College was founded in 1983. Since then, it has successfully prepared over 1000 foreign university applicants and students for the DSH and other language examinations.

The German College provides excellent conditions for learning German. Our participants come from all over the world. We currently have 115 countries of origin in our database. Most of our students are between 20 and 30 years old. At the moment, approximately 180 students are preparing for university studies in Germany in 9 intensive courses.
The classrooms of the German College are at the ÖZ in the middle of the Stuttgart University campus in Vaihingen (S-Bahn station “Universität”) and in rooms rented from the VDI (=Association of German Engineers) in Vaihingen (S-Bahn station “Österfeld”).

The German College is run by a board consisting of two representatives of the ÖZ and a member of the permanent staff of the Language College. Dr. Hilda Hund is responsible for the daily running of the German College.
